On Tuesday, a massive explosion occurred in Beirut, Lebanon, killing over 100 people and injuring more than 5,000. The explosion, destroyed many buildings, homes and hospitals throughout Beirut.
Prior to the explosion, Lebanon had already been battling with the coronavirus pandemic, along with the economic fall of the country, leaving thousands of people in poverty and in need of help.
Hospitals are at maximum capacity, and it has been reported that medical staff has been forced to treat patients in parking lots. Furthermore, many hospitals have lost electricity due to the explosion, and are doing everything they can to deal with the medical needs of patients despite the harsh circumstances.
Right now, more than ever, Lebanon needs your help. Any amount of donation will go a long way to support Life in sending relief which includes emergency food and medical aid for families that have lost everything.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Lebanon during this difficult time.
