Help Gaza
According to UNICEF, "in Gaza, 35 schools have been damaged while at least 29 schools are temporarily sheltering displaced families who fled their homes. Up to 10,000 people have been displaced, the majority are children".
Displaced families in Gaza are living in schools and makeshift shelters. They are in desperate need of hot meals, water, hygiene kits, blankets, bedding and mattresses. Life is working quickly in Gaza to provide emergency aid to displaced families.
Life registered to work in Palestine in May 2005 and started working in Gaza at that time. During Ramadan 2021, Life distributed hot iftar meals to 5000 people in Gaza and food baskets to over 700 families giving them enough food for one month.
In 2006, Life constructed the Jabaliya clinic in Gaza for the Palestinian Red Crescent, purchased 3 ambulances for the Red Crescent in 2009 and shipped medical supplies and equipment from the US to the Gaza Red Crescent Hospital in December 2018. |
