In about a month's time, between December 1, 2019 and January 1, 2020, about 300,000 people have fled from their homes, mainly from the southern Idlib governorate, moving further away from the hostilities.
Most of the recently displaced people have moved to urban centers and IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camps in northwestern Idlib, with tens of thousands reportedly moved to areas such as Afrin and A'zaz in northern Aleppo governorate.
An insecure security situation occurs every day with reports of attacks, affecting citizens and infrastructures.
A school in the Sarmin region of the southern Idlib governorate was recently struck, killing eight people, with four of the eight being children. Displacement during the winter months is further deteriorating the vulnerability of those affected. Many who have fled are in critical need of humanitarian support in regard to shelter, food, health, non-food supplies and winterization assistance.
Your help is needed to provide emergency shelter, clothing, food baskets and fuel for heating to those internally displaced persons
The camps that LIFE currently has access to are
Alekha`a Refugee camp
Sadaqa refugee camp
Salaheldeen refugee camp
